To my ears, this is the best Stingray I've ever played. Having said that, I'm just not a Stingray player. Nothing wrong with them but I prefer how a p bass and similar basses sit in the mix.
This beautiful instrument has a roasted maple neck. I also upgraded the pick up to a Curtis Novak early 70s style stingray pick up. It's wired in series and has the extra long magnets. Really rounded out and beefed up the tone. The pick up alone was nearly $300. I'll include the original but can't imagine e anyone wanting to put it back in.
Currently set up with pyramid flats. I have not played this a lot and it's in near mint condition. No idea why they chose to put a loon in on the 12th fret, but I think it's pretty cool.
