The Mesa Boogie F-50 is a 50-watt, 2-channel tube amplifier produced between 2002 and 2006, known for combining stellar clean tones with high-gain, versatile overdrive.

* Channels: Two fully independent channels, each with independent Gain, Bass, Mid, Treble, Reverb, and Master controls.

* Sounds: 3-position footswitchable modes (Channel 1, Channel 2, Channel 2 w/Contour).

* Contour Mode: The dirty channel features a "Contour" switch, acting as an extra gain boost with a V-shaped EQ, often used for heavier rock and metal. 

* Speaker: 1x12 Widebody Combo equipped with a Celestion C90 speaker.

* Reverb: Long tank spring reverb.

* Output: Parallel FX Loop, recording/headphone output, and silent record mute switch.

*Design: Fixed bias for consistent performance without needing maintenance. 

Sound and Performance:

* Clean Channel: Widely praised for having an "elastic," chimey, and "bell-like" quality, often considered among the best clean sounds Mesa has produced. 

* Dirty Channel: Provides smooth, high-gain sustain, often compared to a "Rectifier" but less buzzy.

The F-50 is regarded as a Loud Utility Amp that is very versatile, featuring 2 × 6𝐿6 power tubes and 4 × 12𝐴𝑋7 preamp tubes with a 12" Celestion V30 speaker. Power tubes were replaced in May 2026.
