This example is visually striking and tonally sweet. Every guitar has its own voice and this one is pleasant and well rounded. it’s an older, upper end Yamaha that has been loved and played. The book-matching is fantastic and the build quality is everything Yamaha is known for.

Condition is good with one noticeable love bump in the treble side upper bout.

Frets are low and the action is high. The bridge has all the meat from the factory, so there’s room to lower the action one or two more times before another reset is necessary. I say “another reset” because it looks to have had a reset at some point in its life, so I’m not certain if it’s been converted to bolt on or if a traditional reset was performed, i haven’t removed the blank over the neck block to verify. the blank fits and looks factory, so I would suspect that the neck was steamed off for a traditional reset. if correct, future work isn’t much in the way of difficulty.
