Two DeArmond Rowe Model 900 Upright Double Bass Pickups with just one tailpiece adaptor. Finding these pickups with the tailpiece adaptor is extremely rare, so the buyer is already off to a good start here. Both pickups work well, but both are missing (or almost missing) the rubber gasket that keeps a good buzz-free seal against the top of your bass. The rubber is now over 60 years old, so this should not be a surprise. However, a little creative ingenuity can remedy that problem in a fairly straightforward way. Why two pickups, but only one adaptor? Good question! And my best answer is that I have two pickups, but only one adaptor! That could prove to be beneficial for someone who wants to modify one pickup while keeping the other stock, or perhaps wants to keep a backup/spare pickup on hand. One is slightly cleaner/prettier than the other, but both are in pretty good shape considering their age! With some searching online you can find the original documentation for these, and even the original patent applications!

And please note that both of these pickups have the 1/8th-inch jack rather than the hardwired cable that you’ll see on some similar listings. You’ll need to invest in a quality 1/8“ to 1/4” cable to plug these into your amplifier, as I’m not including one in this sale.
