Product Description

The Taylor Next Generation Special Edition 214ce DLX Blacktop Acoustic Electric Guitar brings together Taylor's celebrated playability, versatile acoustic voice and distinctive stage-ready styling in a premium Grand Auditorium package. Designed for players who want an acoustic-electric guitar that feels equally at home onstage, in the studio or in the living room, this special-edition 214ce DLX combines an eye-catching Blacktop finish with the comfortable feel and musical response that have made Taylor guitars a favorite among working musicians.

Its Grand Auditorium body shape offers an exceptionally versatile tonal character, delivering a balanced blend of lows, mids and highs that works beautifully for everything from delicate fingerstyle passages to energetic flatpicking and full-bodied strumming. The solid spruce top provides clarity, projection and dynamic response, allowing the guitar to react naturally to changes in picking attack while producing articulate notes and rich chord definition.

The Venetian cutaway provides convenient access to the upper frets, making the 214ce DLX Blacktop an excellent choice for players who incorporate melodic leads, extended chord voicings and higher-register passages into their music. Taylor's famously comfortable neck profile contributes to an easy, familiar playing experience across the entire fingerboard.

The Deluxe appointment package adds an upscale visual character that complements the dramatic Blacktop aesthetic. Refined detailing and Taylor's clean craftsmanship give this special-edition instrument a sophisticated appearance without sacrificing the practical versatility expected from the 200 Deluxe Series.

Built for modern acoustic performers, the onboard Taylor electronics capture the guitar's natural character for amplified performances, rehearsals and recording applications. Whether played acoustically or connected to an amplifier, PA system or recording interface, the Taylor Next Generation Special Edition 214ce DLX Blacktop delivers the responsive feel, balanced sound and professional presentation players expect from Taylor.
