Roland Space Echo RE-201

Most likely if you are looking you are familiar with this unit, so I won't expound on the details, but I will describe the condition and issues:

Overall solid survivor condition. I have had this for probably 30 years, and used it gently. One thing to note, most of these have hinged covers with two latches. This one has four latches and the cover completely removes. It also has some slightly non typical construction details, like how the main part is secured, but it appears to be original. The internet is telling me that indicates an earlier 70s unit, but I am not an expert. I will do a little research on the serial number.

As you can see it is stenciled on the bottom and once belonged to a "Johnny Neder"

There are typical scuffs and scratches and the front panel is a bit bent on the right edge, see pics. Might have been dropped or bashed by other equipment while Johnny was on the road or something, I dunno :-)

Functionally, I spent a bunch of time cleaning and adjusting and all the sounds work. I was able to get it to oscillate in most of the positions (had to turn up the intensity and adjust the head positions a bit to get it there), so all the heads and the reverb tank work. Some have stronger output than others. More could be done, replacing the felt pads and pinch roller and recapping, and it is a good candidate for restoration. But, it is sounding pretty good as-is.

The meter lamp is out.

I had replaced the tape back in the 90s and it was done. So, I put in a new tape, which sounds nice, but I got it all crimped up while working on the thing sadly. I will include a new one that I have with this, and you can load it in. Decent loops are available on ebay.

I prefer not to ship this as you know, it is delicate. So pickup in Philadelphia is preferred. You can test it out as well if you want. Due to age and all that, sold "As-Described"

Any questions let me know and thanks for looking.
