The MiniMuffin is based on the Devi Ever Hyperion fuzz, often referred to as the ‘Big Muff Killer’, although I would argue this undercuts the uniqueness of this effect. The thick, heavily-saturated fuzz of the MiniMuffin has a raw, gnarly quality that is extremely interactive with your picking dynamics, and has an octave-up-like character. It’s also delightful as a bass guitar distortion, and perfect for drop-tuned or baritone guitars. Finally, it plays very well with the volume control on your instrument.
