History HS-BJ4 Jazz Bass Vintage White - Fujigen MIJ - Nitro/Lacquer, Heritage Wood, Granadillo Board, Original Gig Bag & Case Candy

Up for sale is an exceptional, Fujigen-built History HS-BJ4 Jazz Bass in classic Vintage White. All of the HS (High-Standard) series basses were finished in a Nitrocellulose lacquer on both the body and the neck. The feeling in the hands is second to none. The thin Nitro finish allows for better resonance and acoustic clarity, tactile playability, and wears in beautifully over time.

History is the flagship high-end house brand produced by the world-renowned Fujigen factory in Japan - the same master luthiers behind Fender’s legendary "Made in Japan" era and the Ibanez Prestige line. The HS series represents one of their top-tier offerings, pairing traditional craftsmanship with modern Japanese precision engineering.

This specific bass is serial I191196, indicating a September 2019 build date (number 1196 off the line for that year). These are low-volume, meticulously crafted instruments made properly from premium materials.

Key Features & Premium Specs

• 2-Piece Alder Body & Nitro/Lacquer Finish: Finished in a rich Vintage White lacquer that allows the tonewood to resonate freely.
• Heritage Wood Hard Maple Neck: Crafted using Fujigen’s specialized "Heritage Wood" hard maple for exceptional rigidity and acoustic punch, finished with a smooth amber tint. Heritage Wood is the designation that Fujigen uses for hard rock maple that is sourced from virgin timber submerged in the Great Lakes for 100-150+ years. This old growth timber has tight grain structure, and when kiln-dried this creates a lighter, significantly more rigid neck that provides a greater resistance to humidity shifts or neck twists than modern maple.

• Dark Granadillo Fingerboard & C.F.S.: Dark, rich Granadillo board equipped with Fujigen's patented Circle Fretting System (C.F.S.) for improved intonation accuracy across all 20 frets.
• KTS Titanium Bridge: Factory-installed KTS titanium bridge baseplate and titanium saddles for exceptional clarity, sustain, and attack.
• Fujigen Custom Pickups & Premium Electronics: Original Fujigen Vintage Type-J single-coils wired to CTS volume/tone pots, cloth lead wires, an Orange Drop capacitor, and a Switchcraft jack.
• Gotoh Hardware & Fast Action Joint: Smooth Gotoh open-gear tuning machines and a contoured 4-bolt neck plate for effortless upper-fret access.
