The Heritage H-535 Standard II Semi Hollow in Transparent Cherry carries forward one of Kalamazoo's most enduring electric guitar designs with a few smart additions for the modern player. Built at the historic 225 Parsons Street factory, the H-535 combines the open, responsive character of a semi-hollow body with enough focus and versatility to move comfortably between jazz, blues, rock, soul, and beyond. Its Transparent Cherry finish gives the familiar silhouette a classic look while allowing the figuring of the curly maple to remain part of the visual story.

The body uses laminated curly maple for the top and back with solid curly maple rims, giving the H-535 the lively response and clarity players expect from this style of instrument. A gloss nitrocellulose finish keeps the presentation traditional, while the semi-hollow construction gives chords an airy dimension and lets individual notes respond expressively to changes in pick attack.

Heritage Custom Shop 225 Standard Humbuckers provide the guitar's voice. Both pickups are designed and wound in-house, with 42 AWG plain enamel wire in the neck pickup and 43 AWG poly wire in the bridge, Butyrate bobbins, and 2.5" roughcast Alnico 5 magnets. The neck can deliver the rounded warmth needed for jazzier passages and smooth leads, while the bridge provides greater cut and articulation for rhythm work and driven tones. Potted covers help control unwanted feedback when the gain comes up, an especially practical consideration on a semi-hollow guitar.

The Standard II electronics expand that range even further. Push/pull tone pots provide series and parallel switching, letting you move beyond the traditional full-bodied humbucker sound into brighter, more articulate textures. Unlike a conventional coil split, the parallel setting continues to use both coils, giving players another useful flavor while retaining hum-canceling operation. Two volume controls, two tone controls, CTS potentiometers, .022uF capacitors, and a three-way toggle complete a flexible but familiar control layout.

A genuine mahogany neck with Heritage's '60s C profile measures .847" to .922", providing a comfortable carve with enough substance for confident rhythm work without feeling oversized. The rosewood fingerboard has a 12" radius, 22 Jescar medium jumbo frets, dot inlays, and a 24.75" scale length. Combined with the bone nut, Heritage tuners, Tune-O-Matic bridge, and Stopbar tailpiece, the H-535 offers a straightforward playing platform built around reliable adjustment, intonation, and tuning stability.
