Description: The original Marshall Acton was widely praised for delivering the classic, rugged Marshall aesthetic and booming sound in a compact, tabletop footprint. Many people agree that these are built better and sound better than the newer versions.

Condition: Excellent condition. Tested and works as it should. Bluetooth is easy to connect and it sounds wonderful, especially considering the small size. Comes with the speaker and the power cable.

Aesthetic and Build Quality

• Guitar Amp Design: It looked and felt exactly like a scaled-down Marshall guitar amplifier, featuring the iconic script logo, vintage-inspired grille cloth, and a vinyl casing.
• Metal Backplate: Unlike newer models (which switched to plastic), the first-generation Acton featured a heavy steel backplate. This gave it a very premium, solid feel, contributing to its total weight of about 6.6 lbs

Audio Performance

• Surprising Power: Despite being the smallest speaker in Marshall's home lineup at the time, it packed a heavy punch with a 50W total output. It was driven by a three-amplifier setup: one 30-watt Class D amplifier dedicated to the 4-inch woofer, and two 10-watt Class D amplifiers driving the twin 3/4-inch dome tweeters.
• Sound Profile: It was tuned primarily for rock, blues, and live music, pushing out an incredibly punchy midrange and crisp highs without muddying the sound, capable of hitting a maximum sound pressure level of 103 dB.

Tactile Controls

• The analog control scheme was one of its most beloved features, allowing users to physically dial in their audio preferences
• Mechanical Power Toggle: A hefty, vintage-style brass on/off flip switch.
• Analog Dials: Three physical knobs for adjusting volume, bass, and treble independently.
• Source/Wake and Pair Buttons: Small brass buttons to swap between inputs and activate discovery mode.

• Bluetooth 4.0: It utilized Bluetooth 4.0 for wireless streaming. While it offered an exceptional 33-foot range
• Wired Input: A top-mounted 3.5mm auxiliary jack served as the primary wired connection.
