It can sustain up to three individual layers with natural decay, giving you room to stretch single notes, hold chords underneath a lead, or build dense ambient textures. You can keep things simple with a single layer or start stacking sounds when the arrangement calls for something bigger.

Three Layer Sustain and Dynamic Triggering

Layers can be captured with the footswitch or triggered automatically through your playing dynamics. The Trig control determines how sensitive that automatic response is to your pick attack, while Single mode limits the pedal to one layer when you want a more straightforward approach. With Single mode disengaged, you can hold one layer with the footswitch while triggering additional layers on top through your playing.

Attack Decay and Sub Octave Controls

The Mix control determines the level of the sustained layers, while Attack controls how quickly each layer fades into the sound. Decay sets the fade out time with a response designed to mimic the way a physical string naturally loses high frequencies as it fades. Engage Sub Oct to drop one or more layers down an octave for a deeper foundation underneath your original signal.

Stereo Ambient Effects and Advanced Programming

There is plenty beneath the surface for players who like to dig deeper. Additional programmable parameters include modulation intensity, delay time, diffusion, and more. The Layers also supports Stereo Input, Stereo Output, and Dry Wet Split configurations. An external sustain pedal or compatible off board switch can be used to trigger layers, opening up even more options for integrating the pedal into a larger rig.
