Martin Custom Shop – The Podium Commemorative Guitar

A particularly special Martin Custom Shop guitar created in commemoration of The Podium, the renowned independent guitar shop with a long history of exceptional acoustic instruments.

This is not a standard-production Martin. It was conceived as a special Custom Shop instrument celebrating The Podium, combining classic Martin construction with a carefully selected set of premium, traditional appointments.

At the heart of the guitar is a Premium Grade Adi spruce top (AAA quality) paired with high-quality mahogany back and sides—one of the quintessential Martin tonewood combinations. The premium Adi provides excellent responsiveness, balance, and dynamic range, while the mahogany contributes the dry, woody fundamental, clarity, and note separation for which classic mahogany Martins are prized.

Another standout feature is the distinctive V-shaped neck profile. The pronounced V gives the guitar a noticeably vintage-inspired feel in the hand and separates it from the slimmer, more contemporary neck profiles found on many modern Martins. For players who appreciate traditional Martin necks, it is an especially desirable feature.

Highlights:

The combination of premium Adi spruce, quality mahogany, and the substantial V-shaped neck gives this guitar a distinctly traditional personality. Add its connection to The Podium, and this becomes much more than another mahogany Martin—it is a purpose-built Custom Shop instrument commemorating a notable piece of acoustic-guitar history.

For the player or collector looking for a Martin with traditional woods, an old-school neck feel, Custom Shop construction, and genuine commemorative provenance, this is an especially interesting and uncommon example. Returns are not acceptable or available after purchase unless the item arrives condition significantly other than described meaning beyond repair or unrecognizable.
