The Carvin SH225S is a double-cutaway semi-hollow electric guitar featuring an arched curly maple body with a solid maple center block and a glued-in Eastern hard rock maple neck. This guitar features the expanded SH225S electronics package with stereo wiring, dual-to-single-coil switching, and phase switching, along with two Carvin M22 humbucking pickups and individual volume and tone controls. It is also equipped with a Kahler tremolo system and gold hardware, both documented as factory options for the SH225S during the 1980s. An ebony fingerboard with abalone inlays, bound body and f-holes, dual output jacks, and a clear natural finish complete the instrument.
