It shows notable cosmetic wear including scratches and marks on the wooden body, tarnishing and discoloration on portions of the keywork, and general surface wear consistent across the instrument. The Selmer 1963 Series 9 is a professional Bb clarinet made in France during the early production period of Selmer's Series 9 design. Introduced in 1960, the Series 9 incorporated a redesigned scale with revised bore dimensions and repositioned and resized tone holes compared with earlier Selmer clarinets. Its wooden body is paired with nickel-plated keywork in a traditional Boehm-system configuration. The Series 9 represents the generation between Selmer's earlier Centered Tone instruments and the later Series 10 family introduced in the 1970s.

Instrument Condition:

Instruments are only listed for sale if they are in proper playing condition. This means that pads are sealing correctly and any mechanical parts, such as keys, valves, and slides are moving freely and functioning as they should. Cosmetically, most used band instruments will show wear and tear. This includes: scratches in the lacquer, wearing off of lacquer in certain spots, and small dings and dents.
