Gibson Custom Shop Historic Collection 1959 Les Paul Reissue (LPR-9) 2005

The "Historic Collection" is the pinnacle series of the Gibson Custom Shop. We have received the highly popular 1959 specification Les Paul, the "Historic Collection 1959 Les Paul Reissue (LPR-9)." Manufactured in 2005, it weighs 4.06kg.

Boasting a stunning wood grain, and being a highly sought-after '59 Burst, it has developed a remarkable character over the past 20 years. The meticulously crafted hardware and tonewoods create an overwhelming appearance that will excite any player.

Featuring high-quality mahogany and a rosewood fingerboard, the neck is slightly slimmer than the '59's characteristic, but not excessively so, making it a comfortable shape for most. It produces a thick, full-bodied Gibson sound. The weight is approximately 4kg, an ideal weight. This guitar features Burst Bucker #1/#2 humbucker pickups, faithfully reproducing the PAF sound.

The '59 model represents the pinnacle of Gibson's Historic Collection, reflecting the company's rich history.

Perhaps it's to be expected at this price point, but it truly has the sound and appearance of a guitar worthy of a lifetime investment. The condition is excellent, and the wood grain is quite striking.
The neck feels comfortable to hold, and while the acoustic sound isn't particularly unusual, the amplified sound is significantly different from the regular lineup. The sound is light and crisp, capable of handling everything from a crisp crunch to a thick, full lead, and it also has ample low end when playing in a band, making it a versatile guitar suitable for any genre.

Due to the current global situation, the price of '59 Les Pauls has been rising year after year. Looking at the prices over the past few years, we don't see them going down anytime soon, so it might be wise to get one while you can. Each guitar has a unique wood grain, so if this one catches your eye, add it to your cart.
