Description: The Landline Obelisk is a hand-wound, P-90 pickup set. Developed with Mask Audio Electronics, Obelisks take the traditional P-90 recipe and fuse it with a Travis Bean® inspired steel core.

Sound: The result is a pickup with uncompromising presence, pronounced dynamics, and a thick, authoritative midrange that maintains note separation. Obelisks thrive in the mix—articulate enough for clarity under heavy gain, yet rich enough to fill out clean passages.

Who was Travis Bean? Travis Bean was a luthier and machinist who founded Travis Bean Guitars, a company famous for building high-end electric guitars and basses with machined aluminum necks. Bean started the company in Southern California in 1974 with partner Gary Kramer (who later started Kramer Guitars). Many famous musicians loved the unique sound, including Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood of the Rolling Stones, and musician and producer Steve Albini (Nirvana, Pixies). Travis Bean guitars have become highly coveted and sell for five figure sums on the used market.

Condition: The bridge pickup has some dings on the chrome cover. See photos. Both pickups are 100% functional and sound awesome!
