The Fender MTG Tube Distortion uses a real NOS 6205 preamp tube to generate distortion instead of relying on emulation. It includes a 3-band EQ with an additional Tight control for shaping low end response, plus a footswitchable boost section with independent Level and Boost knobs. The pedal runs on standard 9V center-negative power but internally steps up to 150V for the tube plate.
Dimensions are compact enough for most pedalboards at 3.75 in wide by 4.9 in deep. The anodized aluminum enclosure keeps weight down to 1.2 lbs while housing the tube circuitry and switch-mode power supply.
