I have a 2022 Godin A6 Ultra Koa here with its factory soft shell case.
This guitar is in exceptionally clean condition.
The body top shows a light superficial sheen of guitar pick strumming below the pickup. Beyond that, any superficial swirling will be minimal to nonexistent. I did not find any patterns or any buildup or sheen of any soft playwear. The gloss surface looks fantastic.
The body sides/edges and the body back look the same. I found no dings, bumps, or indentations. There is no buckle rash or worming. Nor did I find any buildup of any low intensity pattern playwear. Any traces of superficial swirling will be absolutely minimal. The gloss finish looks exceptionally lustrous and transparent throughout on this guitar.
The neck is as clean as the body, with nothing to report there. The frets are tall and full, showing no pits or divots. The setup plays nicely. The onboard electronics are working as they should.
This one rates conservatively a 9.6/10 and grades as excellent. It's on the better side of what I see on a used guitar, with a little sheen of guitar pick strumming being the only mentionable sign of use I found on it. The pictures do it justice. It's pretty much a perfect specimen if you are looking for one of these on the used market.
Notable about this model is that it has a Koa top. Koa has become, if not more rare, more expensive in our current climate. Tonally, it is one of the best woods ever for laminate tops and soundboards. It has a detailed, harmonically rich tone. It is warmer and smoother than maple, but has a tighter, more percussive sound than mahogany.
This guitar is a fusion of sorts of contemporary electronic technology and acoustic elements and is tremendously versatile, but also and more important it has tremendous core tonality and is made of exceptional tonewoods that beget a frequency rich tone. Without that all the innovations would only be a gimmick.
I am primarily an electric player, so this has been a lot of fun for me to experience this guitar. I ran through a traditional electric guitar tube amp and a pine 1x12 cabinet and was really impressed with it's amplified tone. It sounds at moderate volumes like my amp was designed for this purpose (it is not). Godin has done a great job of capturing the warmth and detail of a steel stringed acoustic guitar and not losing it in the transition to amplification. The onboard EQ sounds good and i feel has a more useful range than anything i have heard before. So it will definitely give you some time with tweaking that and dialing in your favorite tones. So lots of potential tones there, but also i found it sounded great right away with no tweaking with all the EQ's right in the middle.
My impression is that this is a really a premium instrument made of premium tonewoods that has that clear and apparent high quality tone and feel and finish. Here in the USA Godin is lesser known and in the shadows of Taylor, Gibson and Martin. And what i can tell you is that those companies have some really great guitars at higher price points and but not so much at the intermediate/budget guitars that are under 2k. Godin makes a better product in that range. I sense it in the build and tonewood selection. So Godin is great guitar niche for an educated/researched player that is fortunate enough to know about them in the first place.
Note that this listing may come down at any time as I am a multi-platform seller and do sell locally and on my own Site as well in an effort to keep sales fluid. State sales tax will be charged on Reverb sales when applicable, so factor that into your purchase.
I will immaculately pack it as well. I use quality shipping boxes, ample tape on all sides. And sufficient bubble wrap filler and bracing inside the box. And always Marked/denoted as fragile. I generally detune guitars 1/2 half step prior to shipment as well if needed.
Thank you for reading and considering!
