Vintage Martin Style 0 Soprano Ukulele
Circa 1940s
I am offering for sale this vintage Martin Style 0 soprano ukulele that I believe dates back to the 1940s.
It is sometimes difficult to estimate when a Martin ukulele was made. This one has the original Martin stamp inside the body (C F Martin & Co, Nazareth PA) as well as the decal on the headstock. There is no stamp on the rear of the headstock. The Kluson tuning pegs were used in the late 40s as well.
This Martin has the expected minor booboos to be found on an 80-year-old instrument. On the back there is what appears to be “buckle rash” as well as three stable hairline cracks that do not affect the functionality of the instrument in any way.
This mahogany Martin Style 0 soprano ukulele is in good condition and appears to be all original. It plays fine and the action is good. It is strung with new OASIS fluorocarbon strings.
Please research this classic Martin soprano ukulele and study the photos carefully. If you have any questions, please reach out to me.
Note: We ship only to the lower 48 states.
