The M#245 is the flagship model of ATELIER Z, a Japanese handmade brand that has garnered attention from around the world.

It’s a bass that incorporates the unique essence of a special edition model to deliver rich, deep bass tones.

This model features a no-sealing finish and is equipped with an Aguilar OBP-3 preamp.

The ATELIER Z M#265 features a 34-inch long scale, the same specification as a 4-string bass.

This scale length ensures a seamless transition for players switching from a 4-string bass, and it features an 18-millimeter string spacing.

While active JB-type models like the M#245 and M#265 often come standard with a polyurethane finish, this model features a no-sealing finish—a thin coating that allows you to feel the natural wood grain the moment you touch it. This results in a natural tone distinct from the crisp sound characteristic of polyurethane finishes.

For this custom order, we’ve equipped the bass with an Aguilar OBP-3 preamp.

Driven by a 3-band equalizer, the mid control features a push/pull function that switches between 400 Hz and 800 Hz in the midrange.

The control layout includes master volume, master tone, balancer, mid, and treble/bass controls.
