1934 C.F. Martin 0-17

A very cool and highly characterful pre-war Martin 0-17, dating from 1934, with serial number 55280.

This is an early 14-fret 0-17 with the classic all-mahogany construction, but what really sets this example apart is its dark brown/amber finish. It has developed a fantastic appearance over the decades, with plenty of honest playing wear and patina.

The guitar has extensive honest playing wear and age-related cosmetic wear throughout, including scratches, marks, finish checking and general patina consistent with a guitar approaching 100 years old.

It has clearly been played and enjoyed rather than preserved as a museum piece, which gives it a fantastic vintage appearance.
