Fender So-Cal Speed Shop Stratocaster
Fender So-Cal Speed Shop Stratocaster
Made in Korea
A genuinely eye-catching, limited-run guitar with real hot rod history behind it — inspired by a one-off built by Fender's Custom Shop master builder, and named for the legendary Alex Xydias SO-CAL Speed Shop, whose red-and-white racing stripes and logo powered record-setting hot rods (including a 210 mph land speed record in 1951). This particular design was played by Joe Walsh during the Eagles' "Farewell" Tour, giving it real player pedigree beyond the striking looks. A basswood body carries the custom red, white, and black SO-Cal Speed Shop paint job and decal, paired with a fast-playing maple neck and rosewood fingerboard. Stripped-down electronics keep things simple and punchy — a single hot Alnico humbucker and one volume control, wired to a hardtail string-through bridge for maximum sustain and tuning stability. A genuinely fun, no-nonsense rock and roll machine that stands out in any room. Comes with the original Fender gig bag.
