Rare 1940s Vintage Neumann/MWL B-M15 Broadcast Microphone Capsule
One for the collectors, here I have for sale a really quite rare piece of German broadcast history - a Neumann/MWL B-M15 microphone capsule. Developed with and for the NWDR (Nordwestdeutscher Rundfunk) broadcasting organisation in post-WWII Germany, the capsule - switchable between cardioid and omni polar patterns - shares a very similar backplate design and other features of the iconic Neumann M7 capsule.
Produced in incredibly low numbers, this is serial number 102 of (I believe) less than 200.
It has a bayonet end, and is compatible with vintage Neumann CMV3, CMV563, Maihak B-V30 or more modern Blue Bottle/Bottle Rocket 'bottle' mics.
The capsule has recently been serviced and re-skinned by Drefahl Audio in Germany, and comes complete with its original box. Evidence of this service history can be provided.
UK shipping via Royal Mail Special Delivery service with full tracking and insurance cover up to the listing value. US shipping assumes FedEx International Connect shipping, also fully insured. Always happy to arrange shipping to any other locations (or alternative shipping services). Just send me a message and we can discuss.
Any queries, please ask - and thanks for looking!
