1974 Gibson J-55 Jumbo w/OHSC *Neck Reset* - Sunburst

Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a 1974 Gibson J-55 Jumbo with a fresh neck reset and some repairs from our Master Luthier.  New bone saddle, top crack repairs along the extension and the pickguard, body binding replaced, and a partial refinish on the top, back and sides, and the pickguard reattached.  Our luthier came from Gibson's Repair and Restoration department so it was all done right.   We even aged the new nitro finish and it all looks stunning.  25.3" scale, 12" radius, 7.92 lbs.  It has a bold mid forward sound that really lights up the room.  Very warm and very resonant.  This is not the Norlin era Jumbos with the bad neck angle and a low saddle.  It's all done right.  This was a lot of work done right and the price reflects that.  Comes safely packed and fully insured in the original hard case in the photos. 

The nut measures 1.71", neck depth is .86"-.98" at the 1st and 10th frets respectively.  It's that great medium Norlin C profile.  Freshly strung with D'Addario Bronze 12-53 round wound strings and perfect factory spec 5/64"-4/64" action.   The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability.   The frets are leveled, crowned and polished, the fretboard is clean and conditioned.  It is in excellent playable condition with no dead spots.
