The ThorpyFX ER-2 Block 3 Vibrato Chorus Pedal is ThorpyFX's compact take on the classic Univibe-style modulation circuit, built for players who want those familiar swirling chorus and vibrato textures with more control over how the modulation moves. Evolving from the ER-2 Block 2, the Block 3 adds a Phase switch that lets you run the vibe in phase or out of phase, changing the depth and character of both its vibe and chorus sounds. It's still a pure analog design, but one that's sized and laid out to work comfortably on a modern pedalboard.

Intensity determines how strongly the modulation affects your signal, while Speed takes the sweep from barely perceptible movement into fast, dramatic modulation. Offset is the more unusual control here, changing how the LFO ramps and letting you adjust the relationship between the wet and dry portions of the sweep. Volume gives you control over the overall effect level, and the new Phase switch selects in-phase or out-of-phase operation. The left footswitch moves between the classic Univibe-style chorus sound and Vibe mode, which outputs only the wet signal for a true vibrato-style effect. The right footswitch handles bypass.

We like that ThorpyFX didn't turn its expanded Univibe concept into something overly complicated. You still have the controls you'd want to reach for during a gig, with Offset and Phase giving you meaningful ways to fine-tune the movement beyond a conventional vibe pedal. True bypass switching, standard 9V power, and a relatively compact enclosure make the ER-2 Block 3 easy to work into an existing board.
