1997 Fender Big Apple Stratocaster in Shoreline Gold, made in the USA. + OHSC
The Big Apple Strat was part of Fender’s short-lived Hot Rodded American Series and originally left the factory with an HH Seymour Duncan configuration. This example has since been converted to an SSS setup with a full set of Fender SCN (Samarium Cobalt Noiseless) Stratocaster pickups.
The SCNs give it much more of a traditional Strat-style range of tones while retaining the exceptionally low-noise performance these pickups are known for. They were used extensively in Fender’s American Deluxe instruments and have since been discontinued.
The Shoreline Gold finish looks fantastic and really suits this era of American Fender. It’s a particularly cool combination: the less-common Big Apple platform and late-’90s USA construction, but configured as an extremely versatile noiseless SSS Strat.
Please note that the pickup configuration is not original to the guitar. The guitar is being represented accurately as a modified Big Apple Stratocaster.

no significant damage to the instrument, minimal chip near first fret, minor surface level scratches on the back of the instrument, front is nearly perfect, could use a set up and some new strings.
