The Ibanez SRD900F is a four-string fretless electric bass from the Ibanez Bass Workshop series, combining the familiar SR body design with features intended to expand its tonal range toward upright-style bass sounds. Its lightweight okoume body is topped with exotic maple and paired with a five-piece maple/walnut SRD4 neck and bound panga panga fingerboard. Two passive Nordstrand Big Break pickups provide the magnetic pickup signal, while the AeroSilk MR5 bridge incorporates individual piezo pickups for additional acoustic-style response. Independent magnetic and piezo volume controls, a two-band EQ, and active piezo tone control provide extensive blending and tone-shaping options.
