One M480C mic preamp/EQ module, pulled from a Ward Beck broadcast console. Untested — sold as-is, no warranty. No functional testing has been done; buyer assumes risk on functionality.

Ward Beck Systems built consoles in Toronto from 1967 until 2021, supplying broadcasters like CBC, CTV, NBC, and CNN. The M480C runs a discrete Class-A mic preamp into a custom-wound Hammond input transformer, with mic/line input select, dual mic input select (A/B), 48V phantom power, output pad, and a sensitivity trim (0–30).

3-band EQ: fixed-frequency HF and LF shelves (±15dB each), plus a swept midrange (0.6–6.4kHz, ±15dB) with switchable Q, and an EQ in/out bypass switch. Also includes an aux send with pre/post select and level control, a pan control with cue switch, and dual bus-assign switching (M1/M2).

This is a loose module — no rack or power supply included. You'll need your own Ward Beck-compatible rack/PSU (or a suitable third-party solution) to run it standalone.

Part of a 10-module teardown of a Ward Beck console being parted out. Each module listed individually.
