Custom Shop Build Overview Martin 0-18 Italian Alpine Spruce (12-Fret) 1 11/16 Nut #3086781

This build features a solid Italian Alpine spruce top paired with genuine mahogany back and sides, delivering strong fundamental clarity, quick response, and impressive dynamic range.

With classic Style 18 appointments and traditional Martin construction, this instrument delivers timeless tone with enhanced performance and playability.

1 11/16" Nut Width – Why It Matters

The 1 11/16" nut width offers a slightly narrower feel compared to the standard 1 3/4", making this guitar especially appealing to players who prefer a quicker, more compact neck profile.

• Fast, comfortable feel for flatpicking and lead work
• Comfortable transition for electric players
• Reduced left-hand fatigue during extended sessions
• Balanced spacing that still supports fingerstyle playing

This combination makes the guitar ideal for players who want the responsiveness of a smaller-body Martin with a streamlined, familiar neck feel.

Construction & Craftsmanship

Handcrafted in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, this instrument features Martin’s traditional dovetail neck joint and solid tonewood construction for maximum resonance and long-term stability.

The forward-shifted Golden Era scalloped X-bracing allows the soundboard to move more freely, enhancing sustain, responsiveness, and tonal clarity.

Classic Style 18 detailing keeps the aesthetic clean and focused on performance.

The 0-18 is known for its balance, responsiveness, and focused tonal character.
