1977 Marshall 59 JMP Super Lead MKII 100W Head.

Serial number SL/A 00064J In Marshall’s classic system, SL/A stands for the 100-Watt Super Lead circuit, while the suffix letter J definitively confirms the year of manufacture as 1977.

This amplifier originally belonged to Brad, the best friend of Joe Walsh’s personal guitar technician. Brad was also a Gear supplier. Following his passing, the gear was left to his relatives, from whom I acquired it. Included with the sale is an original CD signed by all members of The James Gang, including Joe Walsh, which was preserved right alongside the amp. Could this be one of Joe's original circle of amps? The connection is undeniable.

The Amp is in meticulously cared-for and in fantastic condition with no mods. Uses the Original EL34's as provided for the Amps going to the USA and the 12AX7's

1977 Marshall JMP 1959 Super Lead MKII. Amplifiers from this transitional JMP era (1976–1981) are legendary for trading the fragile Plexiglas front panels for heavy-duty brushed gold aluminum. They deliver massive high-volume headroom and the definitive, aggressive classic rock "crunch" famously used by AC/DC and Van Halen. Everything works flawlessly with absolutely no issues. I have the original Marshall Amp head cover to go with.

Comes with PS-1 Power Soak Attenuator to tame the beast around the home front. This will keep that Marshall Sound True we all know without Blowing the rafters off the house.

Have a Excellent Condition Marshall 1960A 300W 4x12 Angled Guitar Speaker Cabinet - Regular Black that I could throw in on a Package Deal at 3800 if Interested for Local Pick up.
