Left handed Stratocasters do not come around often, which makes this Olympic White, USA made Fender a great find for southpaw players. What sets it apart is that it has essentially become a partscaster, bringing together genuine Fender parts from two different models into one individual instrument.
The body comes from a 2014 60th Anniversary Stratocaster, while the neck is from a 2012 American Standard Stratocaster. The 60th Anniversary model originally shipped with a maple neck, and a previous owner, who clearly preferred the feel and look of rosewood, swapped it for the American Standard neck with its rosewood fingerboard. The result keeps all the familiar Stratocaster ingredients: an alder body, a maple neck with a comfortable C profile and rosewood fingerboard, a 9.5" radius and the smooth two point tremolo that makes this generation so easy to live with.
Where this one differs further from stock is the bridge position. The original single coil has been swapped for a Seymour Duncan humbucker in a single coil sized format, giving a fatter, higher output bridge tone with the added benefit of hum cancellation, while the neck and middle positions keep the original American Standard single coils for those classic, chiming Strat sounds. It is a versatile setup that covers everything from sparkling cleans to thicker, rock oriented bridge tones.
The guitar is in excellent condition and looks pretty clean throughout, with just one small paint chip on the edge of the armrest contour. At 3.6 kg it is an easy guitar to live with, and the slim C neck and 9.5" radius make for a fast, comfortable playing feel. It comes with a gigbag.
This instrument has been carefully inspected for condition and playability, then set up to our Gold Standard by a luthier. We make sure it arrives in your hands exactly as it should: sounding its best, playing effortlessly and ready to be enjoyed from the very first note.
