Fender Custom Shop 1960 Stratocaster Relic 2013 – Kloppmann Pickups – COA – Custom Shop Case

Fender Custom Shop 1960 Stratocaster Relic 2013 – Kloppmann Pickups – COA – Custom Shop Case

For sale is my 2013 Fender Custom Shop 1960 Stratocaster Relic – an exceptionally fine, carefully selected Custom Shop Stratocaster with a very special upgrade.

According to the original Fender Certificate of Authenticity, this guitar is a 1960 Stratocaster Relic, built by the Fender Custom Shop in Corona, California. The COA is dated August 16, 2013, serial number R74229.

Personally selected by Siggi Schwarz

This particular guitar was personally selected at the Fender Custom Shop by Siggi Schwarz.

It was therefore not simply a randomly ordered Custom Shop Strat, but an instrument specifically selected for its qualities.

Anyone who has played a large number of high-end Stratocasters knows that two guitars with very similar specifications can still feel, respond and sound quite different. This particular example stands out for its immediate response, dynamics and resonance.

Personally upgraded by Andreas Kloppmann – Pickup Set

One of the most special aspects of this guitar is its Kloppmann pickup set.

These pickups were not simply installed as an aftermarket modification: Andreas Kloppmann personally fitted the guitar with his pickups and personally set up the instrument afterwards.

This gives the guitar a particularly interesting history: an excellent Fender Custom Shop Strat originally selected by Siggi Schwarz, later personally upgraded and set up by Andreas Kloppmann.

The Pickup set is a natural match for the character of a 1960-style Stratocaster. The guitar is open, transparent and highly dynamic, with excellent string-to-string definition and an immediate response to the player’s touch.

Clean, it delivers the sparkling and articulate character you would expect from a great Strat. Add some gain and it develops a wonderfully expressive and powerful voice while retaining excellent definition.
