About the Guitar

Frostbite over Artist Flame Maple. Frostbite comes from the Private Stock color palette. Deep charcoal and smoky tones frame the figure, and the lighter center lets the lines of flame show. The natural mahogany back contrasts with the top.

McCarty foundation. The mahogany back and neck and the rosewood fretboard follow the traditional McCarty recipe. The flame maple and Frostbite color provide the visual character.

Neck. The Pattern profile has a substantial feel. It has a 25" scale and 22 frets.

McCarty III covered pickups. They are voiced for clarity, warmth and dynamic response rather than raw output.

Gen III tremolo. It has smooth operation and good stability, and adds expressive range to the McCarty formula.

Hybrid hardware. A mix of gold and nickel elements contrasts with the cool Frostbite finish.

30th Anniversary. This guitar was made as part of the celebration of 30 years between Jack Gretz and PRS Guitars, which gives it provenance beyond the specs.

Made in Maryland. Built by PRS in Stevensville, Maryland, USA.
