Description

The Seymour Duncan SFX-04 Twin Tube Mayhem is a high-gain tube preamp/distortion pedal built around a pair of Phillips-Sylvania 6205 mil-spec subminiature vacuum tubes.

Unlike distortion circuits that rely on clipping diodes, the Mayhem generates its distortion through its tube gain stages, operating the tubes at high plate voltage for a genuine tube-driven response. It also features an active 3-band EQ with selectable mid frequencies and a dedicated boost footswitch with selectable +4 dB / +8 dB boost levels.

Designed for high-gain applications, it can function as both a heavy distortion pedal and a standalone preamp-style gain stage.
