Boston Acoustics 381 in-wall speaker pair, 2001 - White - original owner, original packaging

For sale is a set of Boston Acoustics model 381 in wall speakers. Everything is included: the speakers, the metal grills, the paint protectors, drywall mounting plates, screws, templates, instructions, user guide. it will be shipped safely in the original box with the original packing material in the original plastic bags. As you can tell from the grill-off photos, the woofers are in excellent shape due to the copolymer surrounds of the 8" woofer. (A lot of Boston Home speakers used foam surrounds which deteriorated over time.) I had them mounted in-wall using the optional pre-construction kits (not included) and removed them during a renovation. The included drywall mounting plates have never been used. Check out the crossover circuitry on the back of the speakers that use very high quality components. They always sounded great, but they didn't get much use. As a test, I recently drove them loudly with a 100w Denon amplifier and they performed perfectly. As you can imagine, the sound quality (especially the bass response) depends on the wall cavity that they are mounted in. These speakers were manufactured during the golden years of Boston Acoustics - before the company was sold to an Asian conglomerate.
