In Good Condition: this D-21 shows binding reglue at both sides of the waist, a professionally repaired and double-cleated crack running from the bridge to the lower bout, and a chip missing from the "M" in the Martin headstock logo. Has a replacement bone nut, and is definitely ready to play! Decades of drying and settling give Brazilian rosewood dreadnoughts like this one a dry, resonant voice that newer guitars can't replicate no matter the materials used.

Non-scalloped, forward-shifted X-bracing — standard on Martins built after the war — keeps the top controlled under a hard strum while still letting the rosewood's complex overtones come through.
