These are really terrific drums. Well made, edges are spot on, Yamaha bulletproof hardware. I bought them as a backup kit and because I was really curious about them. But I’m good with one kit. I’d say they are basically Maple Custom Absolutes except for the tom hoops. Drums are almost mint - just a bit of indentation on the hoop from the pedal clamp. Stock heads have just a few stick marks. They are natural maple - what Yamaha is calling butterscotch.

I also have a basically new 6.5 x 14 snare in black (licorice). Excellent sound and the dual snare tensioners are a plus.
If you buy all 4 drums at the listed price I’ll include brand new Remo coated ambassadors for the tom and snare batters, a Remo ambassador snare head, and your choice of lightly used bass drum batter heads - coated ambassador, clear pinstripe, clear PS or Aquarian modern vintage. 5 heads in all.
