Mezzo Furioso are excited to offer this incredibly rare early 1983 Gibson Les Paul 30th Anniversary '57 Reissue Goldtop in 'collector grade' condition.
S/N: B 0096
This immaculate example is exactly as it was the day it left the factory and sounds even better than it looks.
The nitrocellulose finish is exceptional with only minimal checking to the goldtop.
This particular run by Gibson was limited to 500 pieces and has therefore become quite a sought after example in the vintage/collector market.
These guitars were also some of the last Les Pauls manufactured in the Kalamazoo, Michigan plant before its closure in 1984 and thus carry significant historical importance - Les Paul himself was even drawn to this model, explicitly endorsing the 30th Anniversary Les Paul upon its release.
The guitar is definitely one of Gibson's more accurate reissues with much desired specs such as a 1-piece mahogany neck (which was an upgrade option at the time of purchase), 17 degree neck angle and historically correct carving to the top, capturing those all important vintage vibes.
The Tim Shaw PAF pickups sound phenomenal giving that these were basically reverse engineered replicas of original 50's PAFs. When unplugged the guitar is super resonant and harmonically rich and the rounded C shape neck profile really does make playing feel almost effortless.
This museum quality instrument comes with its original Gibson 'Lifton' case (key included) and original hang tags.
