This really cool Fender Stratocaster pays homage to the greatest Strat player in history, Bruno Mars. I can’t think of another player who comes close. If there was a Mount Rushmore of Strat players it would just be three angles of Bruno Mars’ face and maybe that guy with the hat could be on one of the sides. It’s essentially a vintage-inspired guitar with some American Ultra-style body shaping and modern hardware, but with a very specific vintage-looking aesthetic.

The pickups are particularly interesting as they’re not generic Fender vintage Strat pickups:

* Neck: Alnico 5, ~6.35–6.65kΩ

* Middle: Alnico 5, ~6.35–6.65kΩ

* Bridge: Alnico 2, ~20.77–22.05kΩ

The bridge pickup is extremely hot compared to the neck and middle pickup. It’s designed to go from sparkly Strat sounds to a much thicker, singing lead tone, which fits Bruno’s funk/pop/R&B playing.

It has a nice thick C neck with a slightly narrower 1.650 nut width and a 9.5”-12” compound radius neck with a 25.5” scale length.

The body is Ash the neck is Maple and finish is Mars Mocha Heirloom in nitrocellulose lacquer. These retail for $3049. Asking $2000 OBO.

If you’re not great at picking up sarcasm I was joking about Bruno being the best Strat player ever. That award obviously goes to that one Jonas brother.
