Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a rare and clean 1975 Greco EG700T Les Paul solid body in Tobacco Sunburst and featuring the Maxon U2000 humbuckers. It's a transitional model right when Grecos were moving from Matsumoku to Fujigen. Fujigen drying wood and making necks and bodies for Matsumoku at this time and that's what this one looks like. The Maxon pickups date to 1975 and meter at 7.75k ohms at the neck and 7.92k at the bridge. They sound great and there's a lot to be said about how they compare to or are better then the Gibson pickups of the day. We agree. 24.75" scale, 14" radius, 10.14 lbs. Comes safely packed and fully insured in the hard case in the photos.
The nut measures 1.72", neck depth is .83"-.92" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's a comfy C profile. Freshly strung and accurately intonated with D'Addario 10-46 XL nickel strings and perfect factory spec action. The truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. The frets are leveled and the fretboard is cleaned and conditioned. There are a few scratches and dings as pictured. The frets have about 50-60% of their life left and a couple small divots. It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots. The bridge is an ABR-1 style Made in Japan replacement. The center seam on the back has started to separate but solid and not going anywhere.
