After a brief stint in the entertainment industry, this Kiesel Solo 6 has decided the artist lifestyle simply isn't for it.

The late nights. The questionable venues. The constant demand to play Free Bird.

It's ready to settle down.

This is a particularly cool Kiesel Solo 6 Artist Loaner, finished in a Custom Classic Sunburst Flake with gold hardware, a gorgeous Birdseye Maple fingerboard, and an HSS set of Kiesel Lithium pickups. It's essentially a classic single-cut formula dragged firmly into modern boutique-guitar territory.

This instrument has been professionally inspected, tested, and prepared with the same care I would expect if I were buying it myself. It also comes professionally setup with premium strings for ultimate playability.

Custom Classic Sunburst Flake

This is where things get interesting.

Rather than one of Kiesel's standard finishes, this guitar received a Custom Classic Sunburst Flake finish with a clear gloss topcoat. The traditional sunburst aesthetic combined with the metal-flake treatment gives it a fantastic balance between vintage and completely over-the-top.

Then Kiesel paired it with gold hardware, gold pickup pole pieces, a gold metallic drop-shadow logo, and Birdseye Maple appointments.

Subtle?

Absolutely not.

Correct?

Absolutely.

HSS Lithium Configuration

This Solo is equipped with a versatile HSS pickup configuration consisting of:

• Kiesel Lithium passive humbucker in the bridge
• Kiesel Lithium passive single coil in the middle
• Kiesel Lithium passive single coil in the neck
• Black pickup coils
• Gold pole pieces

That gives you considerably more tonal territory than the typical dual-humbucker modern guitar. The bridge Lithium is there when you need the punch, clarity, and articulation for heavier playing, while the two single coils open the guitar up for cleaner tones, glassier sounds, funk, blues, fusion, worship, and everything between.

In other words, it can chug responsibly and still attend church on Sunday.

Birdseye Maple Everywhere

The neck is maple with a hand-rubbed tung oil finish, paired with a Birdseye Maple fingerboard and matching Birdseye Maple headstock overlay.

The fingerboard has a 14" radius, 22 medium-jumbo gold EVO frets, black acrylic dot inlays, and a traditional 25.5" scale length.

The tung-oiled maple neck is also one of those Kiesel features that makes considerably more sense once you've actually played one. There's no thick glossy finish between your hand and the wood—just a smooth, fast-playing neck that feels fantastic.

Classic Shape. Very Un-Classic Kiesel.

This is an especially interesting Solo because it isn't trying to turn the platform into another modern-metal machine.

The alder body, bolt-on maple neck, 25.5" scale, HSS configuration, and maple fingerboard borrow ingredients from some of the most familiar electric guitars ever built. Kiesel then adds the modern fretboard radius, EVO frets, Hipshot hardware, Lithium pickups, premium construction, and outrageous custom finish.

The result is something that can cover a huge amount of musical ground while still being unmistakably Kiesel.

And at 8.4 lbs, it has enough substance to feel substantial without requiring a chiropractor to be included with the case.

Most importantly, this isn't just another off-the-rack Solo. Between the custom flake finish, Birdseye Maple appointments, gold hardware, unusual HSS Lithium configuration, and Artist Loaner designation, this is one seriously distinctive Kiesel.

Its touring career is over.
