Up for sale is a rare, beautifully upgraded 2003 Fender Stratocaster XII 12-string in the highly sought-after Lake Placid Blue with a matching headstock. Bearing a Q-series serial number and stamped "Crafted in Japan," this instrument was built at the renowned Dyna Gakki factory and delivers exceptional build quality, incredible structural stability, and classic 60s chime. This guitar has been tastefully upgraded and freshly player-optimized, making it look, feel, and sound better than a stock factory model.Key Upgrades & Maintenance
- Tortoiseshell Pickguard: The original plain white pickguard has been upgraded to a premium multi-ply tortoiseshell guard, creating a stunning, high-end visual contrast against the Lake Placid Blue finish.
- New Bone Nut: The factory plastic nut was replaced with a custom-cut, professionally slotted genuine bone nut, significantly improving tuning stability, sustain, and open-string resonance across all 12 strings.
- Pro Fret Work: The frets have been freshly leveled, crowned, and polished. The playability is effortless with smooth bends, zero dead spots, and a low, comfortable action.
- Refreshed Plastics: Pickup covers and control knobs have been refreshed for a clean, clean look that complements the new aesthetic perfectly.
Condition & Cosmetics
- Overall Condition: Excellent player's condition. The neck is straight, the truss rod functions perfectly, and the electronics are fully original and 100% functional.
- The "Ding" (See Photos): There is a small cosmetic ding on the back of the body (clearly highlighted in the final picture). It is completely superficial, strictly through the clear coat, and does not affect the wood structural integrity or the front-facing aesthetics of the guitar.
