Up for sale is an original vintage J.C.R. Hand-Held Bongo Bell (Campana) handcrafted in the Bronx, NY by legendary percussion maker Cali Rivera.

J.C.R. instruments are world-renowned among salsa, Latin jazz, studio, and drum set players for their hand-welded steel construction, massive projection, and pure fundamental tone. Since Cali's passing and the permanent closure of the Bronx shop, authentic JCR bells in this condition have become highly collectible and increasingly hard to find.

Features & Authenticity:

 Markings: Features two distinct hand-stamped "BY J.C.R." logos in the steel body, along with the original gold "J.C.R. PERCUSSION BRONX, NY 10452" address label intact and fully legible.

 Hardware: Outfitted with a heavy-duty factory eye-bolt mount for mounting on any standard 3/8" percussion rod or drum set stand, or it can be held by hand.

 Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The steel and welds are tight and clean with no cracks, weld splits, structural dents, or severe oxidation.

 Tone: Classic New York salsa sound—deep, dry, resonant open-mouth tone with a strong fundamental pitch that cuts cleanly through a loud ensemble.
