It’s also famous for its distinctive, elegantly curved body shape, accented with eye-catching binding along the body, and fingerboard.
The modern incarnation of the 4003 features many modern improvements players have been asking for: a thinner, early 70’s style neck profile with an improved bi-flex trussrod system, and a fully adjustable tailpiece, allowing for greater control of string height and increased sustain.
The Vintage Tone Selector activates a capacitor in the treble pickup circuit to emphasize the high end. Pressed in, you get the familiar 4003 sound, pull it out to add bite and crispness.
Other improvements include the new V.2 bass bridge pickup, delivering the same iconic Rickenbacker bass tone we all love, now with a newly designed pickup cover enabling you to effortlessly access the strings from any position on the body. This bass comes with its official Rickenbacker Deluxe Hardshell Case.
