This is a 22” Remo pre-tuned Fibreskyn frame drum. It has only been used a few times. It was originally purchased for use in the Chicago Didjeridu Chorus. I’m selling because it is not being played much.
*It has the CDC initials on it at various points on the edge of the skin. Other than that, it’s in like new condition.
Fibreskyn has a unique tonal characteristic. It sounds quite a bit like a goatskin head, perhaps more consistent. One of the nicest features of this particular head is that it keeps a uniform tightness. If you’ve played a goatskin drum, you are aware of the changes that take place when the air is dry vs humid. The fibreskyn head does not change much when exposed to various temperatures and humidity levels. For that reason it’s a great drum for indoor and outdoor playing. The texture of the Fibreskyn head is a bit smoother than a goatskin head. I would keep the drum, but I've moved on tho playing a larger frame drum.
