Update: I've received a few questions about the violin's appearance, so I'd like to address them. The proper cosmetic restoration would be a French polish. While I know how to do this, I chose not to because it requires sanding original varnish and applying many new layers, which can alter the violin's natural tone. Like the patina on a classic car, I prefer to preserve its "battle scars".

Listed for sale is my classic 1965 E.R Pfretzschner Stradivarius 4/4 copy, made in West Germany. This violin is ideal for intermediate to advanced players, offering a responsive feel, comfortable playability, and a balanced, mature tone that sets it apart from newer instruments.
The setup consists of a Tourte Baroque maple bridge, .5mm under classical spec, a vintage tulip tailpiece with two fine tuners, a Dresden ebony chin rest and Caspari German pegs, and a quality spruce sound post; sound post was remeasured, recut, and repositioned to increase tonal projection. Nut height was remeasured and recut for comfort.
I've paired this violin with Thomastik Dominant strings, known for exceptional dynamic response, rich and complex tone. This violin produces a clear and balanced tone with moderate projection. I spent quite a bit of time fine tuning the bridge for optimal tonal quality. I added more warmth and power to the lower registry and more sweetness to the upper registry.
The condition is fair for its age.
There are some wear and tear and cosmetic flaws such as moderate scratches and nicks as seen in images, but overall in good shape. No cracks or open seams. It comes with a lightweight oblong case and a Glasser fiberglass bow.

What do adjusted and upgraded mean?
For appearance: physical components are replaced such as pegs, tailpiece, chinrest and etc.
For tonal improvement: new bridge cut, bridge tuning, new sound post measured, cut, and repositioned, and new strings replaced. The effort and time spent to improve these structural changes will significantly enhance tonal quality.
For comfort: nut height, strings spacing and strings height will be remeasured and recut. Sometimes the neck needs to be shaven thinner. Fingerboard sometimes needs re-planing.
*** A final inspection will be thoroughly given prior to shipping. All necessary compounds will be applied to prevent future slippage, stickiness, and reducing strings friction. This is to ensure a peace of mind.
All of my instruments have been stored in a controlled room with the right humidity and temperature. All have been treated with care. ***
