Hairball Audio 76FET/500 Rev A 500-series FET compressor in excellent working condition.
Hairball’s 76FET/500 is based on the classic early Rev A / “Blue Stripe” 1176-style FET compressor topology, delivering the fast transient control, aggressive compression, and harmonic character associated with that era of the design.
Features include:
- Rev A / early 1176-style FET compressor circuit
- 4:1, 8:1, 12:1, and 20:1 ratio selections
- Fast attack and release controls
- Input and output level controls
- Gain-reduction metering
- Transformer-balanced signal path
- Standard 500-series format
Excellent for vocals, drums, bass, guitars, and other sources where fast peak control and character are desired. It can handle everything from relatively controlled compression to the more aggressive sound FET compressors are known for.
The unit is fully functional and has been used in a smoke-free home studio.
