This 2006 Gibson Custom Shop J-45 Limited Edition pairs a solid Sitka spruce top with solid flame maple back and sides. Built in Bozeman, Montana, this combination retains the fundamental warmth and body of the traditional J-45 platform while adding the brighter top-end bite, fast attack, and clear note separation of maple.
The mahogany neck features a 24.75-inch scale length, a comfortable SlimTaper profile, and a rosewood fingerboard with classic mother-of-pearl dot inlays. Electronics include a factory-installed L.R. Baggs Element undersaddle pickup with a soundhole volume control. Hardware includes a rosewood reverse-belly bridge, bone nut and saddle, and gold Gotoh open-gear tuners. Includes the original Gibson Custom Shop hardshell case.
