This is a Rare Vintage 1957 Fender Musicmaster Guitar (#573) with its original Desert Sand finish, 1957 Maple Neck with its original Fender lacquer finish and Fender decal, with the Original Fender Case. This Vintage 1957 Fender has its original anodized Pickguard, Pickup and Pots, with no changes, routes, or additional holes to the body or neck. The neck finish is all original is in very good condition with just very light play use and one very small ding on the back. The original Fender decal is in Excellent Condition. There is light fretboard wear mainly in the first position on the fretboard, with very slight use on the original frets in the first position as shown in the photos. Neck has a C profile, with the date of 10–57 on the butt of the neck, with a scale of 22-1/2" and the earlier wider width of 1-5/8" at the nut. The neck is straight and the truss rod is adjustable. The original Kluson Tuners easily move and hold properly, with its original stable and secure buttons. The guitar has a rare double stamped Neck Plate with a Serial #023698 with a hidden double stamp on the back #-24900 which was only seen in 1957-58 models. The Stackpole volume control pot is date stamped 304-732, with the Stackpole tone control pot date, having solder over the date. All solder connections are undisturbed and original. The original neck pickup reads a strong 5.9k, with the original control wire pickguard tape undisturbed and a excellent condition. Original anodized pickguard is in very good condition with just light play wear on the pickguard. The anodized pickguard also has the original Fender lacquer clearcoat that Fender started adding in late 1957-1958 to help preserve the anodizing. The rare original Fender chrome bridge coveris in excellent condition and is also included. Guitar weight is 6lb.-3oz. The guitar functions, adjusts, plays great, and all adjustment screws move freely. The Desert Sand finish is all original, with some very light scratches and nicks, as shown in the photos. Study the photos carefully and message for any other questions or photos.Comes with its original 1957 red "poodle" lined Fender case that is in very good condition, with all the spring latches working properly with no mold or stank.
