Serial No. - MZ8045361
Weight - 7.62lbs

Condition & Provenance

Presented in Good Condition and supplied with a Fender Tweed Gigbag, the instrument has most notable wear around the edge of the body - seemingly from a light relic job. Other signs of use include a few small chips in the finish, scratches and oxidation to the hardware.

An in-house pro setup included a fret dress, full inspection of parts and a new set of 10-46 strings. The guitar plays and intonates well across the fretboard. The original frets still have plenty of life left, measuring .034" tall.

Description

Adventurous guitarists started hot-rodding their Telecasters in the late '60s and early '70s with big-sounding humbucking neck pickups that lent new style and swagger to rock music. The Classic Series '72 Telecaster Custom brings it all back as an authentic evocation of its early-'70s ancestor, including the distinctive Fender Wide Range humbucking neck pickup, a large pickguard, cool skirted amp control knobs and more. A favorite of players from '70s rock to modern U.K. alt-rock and much more.
